Forth DSFB Statement on the Easing of Lockdown on 28th May
Today (21/05/2020) the First Minister announced that the first current lockdown will start to be eased from the 28th May. Easing of the lockdown will be phased and reviewed constantly and there is every possibility restrictions may be implemented again should a spike in cases occur.
From what has been said in the statement, fishing is likely to be permitted within phase 1. Whilst this phase will start on the 28th May, the Board is still waiting on confirmation on any exact dates. Travel restrictions are also likely to remain.
We will keep everyone up to date once we have had confirmation on the exact date from the Government when fishing can resume but for now, current lockdown restrictions remain in place until at least the 28th May.
Once more detailed guidance has been issued by the Government, the Board will compile this and issue to clubs and fisheries around the Forth.
Social distancing will remain in place and some clubs and fisheries may require time to implement any new procedures which the Government expects to be implemented.
Should any clubs or fisheries require advice/guidance or have any questions. Please get in touch with us via board@forthdsfb.org or call the office on 0131 378 7174.
