Conservation Codes

The Forth District Salmon Fishery Board has created a number of conservation policies for rivers in the Forth District. These policies are updated yearly and agreed by the Board for the protection of fish stocks within the Forth.

All of the below policies are also subject to confirmation of Scottish Government regulations on the management of the killing of salmon which takes place each year. This is normally confirmed each April when it passes through parliament and any changes made at the parliamentary stage are then reflected in our conservation policies. Any updates to regulations relating to salmon conservation in the Forth will be made through this web page.
